Our aim is to run the shop as a not for profit community shop for the village, a venue showcasing the best of Manx, linked with ethical, caring and Fairtrade goods.

The Dalby Hub Community Shop: The Small Shop with Big vision! We’re supporting Manx Farmers by selling locally sourced produce and fresh farm veggies..... we’re supporting small scale producers across the world by selling Fairtrade produce, and we’re reducing our impact on Planet Earth through our Eco sustainable products ! ... join our ethical revolution by Shopping Locally!! Our village shop is currently open only to local residents and residents of The Hub Bunkhouse. We're a "Not for Profit Community Enterprise" run with love by the local community. Because we're so small, with limited turn over, we’re unable to buy in bulk and therefore sometimes more expensive than supermarkets, our mark-up is needed to help cover our running costs, expenses, insurance, lights, heat, freezer etc as well as loss incurred by out of date stock. By shopping locally we save you the time of having to go to elsewhere as well as the petrol and environmental impact of your journey. Many of our products are produced locally which help reduce our carbon foot print, and the things that we're unable to source locally we try to ensure have been fairly traded as well as being sustainable.. ....which is why we’ve introduced a refill system for cleaning products to cut down the plastic waste. Our Bees wax wraps are an alternative to using cling film and keep food fresh whilst reducing plastic waste! ( please see our Eco & Household page for more details.) The shop stocks essential food, such as Manx milk, cheese, butter and bread. Noah’s bake house bread is frozen on the day it’s baked, and available as a half or full loaf. We’re selling Rapeseed oil produced on Island, which uses the cold pressed method and so retains goodness and flavour, and we sell " Heavenly Honey" from Dalby Hives.. We welcome ideas and support from the community, if you want to be involved or have any suggestions please get in touch.
