We'd love you to join us!
We're a small church community who meet on a Sunday evening to gather and share in worship and prayer together. For us it's a time for thoughtfulness, reflection, re-commitment , re-evaluation and deepening a relationship with God and with one another...... and we love it !
It's as good a way as we can think of ending one week and walking bravely into another one! Our services vary through the month, offering different styles of worship, but are always reflective and God centred. Such a small amount of time, but such a huge investment in balancing up Life!

Worship at Dalby 6.30pm ..... always cosy & relaxed
The 1st Sunday in the month: we have unaccompanied reflective service of Celtic Evening Prayer led by our Local Minister Cheryl Cousins. The 2nd Sunday is Holy Communion: a more traditional service with Canon Margaret Burrow officiating and preaching. The 3rd Sunday Candlelit Taize Worship led by Cheryl, with unaccompanied Taize chants, scripture, prayer, and times of stillness and silence. "It was a pleasure to come to the service. I found it very beautiful and heart-opening. Thanks for everyone for welcoming me so warmly. I loved the singing of Taizé hymns, and the silence and meditative, reflective awareness and sense of connection that arised in those moments in between! The Celtic prayers are so beautiful too.." The 4th Sunday is our Celtic Communion : around the fire in the schoolrooms with the Very Revd. Nigel Godfrey. |
The 5th Sunday ; a Songs of Praise Service with reflections by members of our Church & Community, a time of sharing favourite hymns inter-mingled with contemporary verse, quotations. & prayer.

We're on the scenic West Coast road from Peel to Pt Erin overlooking the sea .... so we seek to reflect in worship the silence and beauty of our natural environment, our rural traditions, our Celtic heritage and our love of God and one another. We love having visitors join us in worship, there is easy parking on the road outside the church.
Easter morning Vigil at Cronk ny aree Laa
Truth is like the stars; it does not appear except from behind obscurity of the night.
Truth is like all beautiful things in the world; it does not disclose its desirability
except to those who first feel the influence of falsehood.
Truth is a deep kindness that teaches us to be content in our everyday life and share with the people the same happiness .

A bit about the Church: Who we are ......
|
This unique historic church, much admired by Sir John Betjeman, was commissioned by Bishop Ward in 1839 as a church school and designed by John Welsh architect for the Tower of Refuge and King Williams College. One of the smallest churches on the island, its two large adjoining community rooms means it still plays a vital role in village life.
We’re an active church and community working to restore the building that it may remain the heart of the village. We connect through regular events, community initiatives and a ministry of “cakes and cooking"! We have set up a small Village shop; The Dalby Hub Community Rooms, Bunkhouse, Local History Exhibition, and gathering points throughout the year. As a Fairtrade church and an Eco Church we’re also seeking to support our wider global community by caring for the whole of Gods' Creation and are committed to raising funds for Manx charities on island and overseas. |
The church is open daily from 9.00am until dusk, there is usually someone about and always a hospitality tray to make yourself a hot brew or a cup of coffee with home made flapjacks.
